Ocasa Homes Pet T&C’s
If you breach any of the terms and conditions of your pet licence, your tenancy will be at risk.
Residents must apply for permission from Ocasa Homes to keep a pet listed on our approved list either before you move in or when you are thinking of getting a pet.
Pets are only permitted in our self-contained apartments and not in our shared accommodation (HMOs)
You may be required to provide additional information about your pet, including, but not limited to, evidence of vaccinations, fleeing and worming treatments.
You will need to sign a pet license once your pet is approved to join our community. There is no cost for this.
For the comfort of all residents, pets are not allowed in the indoor areas including lounges. They cannot be allowed to roam in any of the corridors or stairwells.
Dogs are welcome in any external grounds and courtyards – but not their mess, residents will be issued a fine for any fouling not correctly disposed of in the communal areas and external grounds.
We do not accept any animal listed in the schedule of the Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976, protected or dangerous breeds.
Any dog listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 may not be kept at the property including Pit Bull Terriers and Japanese Tosa.
The only large dogs (e.g Labrador, Alsatians etc) that will be considered for tenancy are assistance or service animals.
Ocasa Homes usually only accepts one pet per apartment.
You’re responsible for the care of your pet and of the apartment at all times.
You will need to confirm that your dog will not be left unattended during the day.
You will be liable for the cost of any damage caused to the apartment or communal areas of the building and will be charged the full cost of making good any damage. Any damage must be reported to Ocasa Homes immediately.
Residents who allow their animals to foul in the common areas of Ocasa Homes properties, including but not limited to the lounge, communal area and outdoor area, may be fined in accordance with the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
A check out inspection will be carried out at the end of your tenancy. You’re responsible for the cost of a deep clean including the carpets if required.
